$150 Southwest Gift Card for $135 + 5x, and $100 Gas for $93

eBay released a few more gift card deals today. Also check out the full list from yesterday, we’ll add these new ones to that list. Remember to use INK for PPDG purchases and use a shopping portal for ~1% back in case it tracks.

You can find all gift card deals at this link (this contains our eBay affiliate link)

Can you clarify whether you get anything for a click through to eBay using your link where we then buy a gift card, say from SVM or PPDG? Since all the portals no longer work I’m assuming the answer is no, but if you get anything from it I’d be willing to do it.

I don’t think we do, if you buy something else we would though

Paypal / Ebay continue to be a joke for me. Verify like crazy, but constantly reject me from buying multiple gift cards. It’s incredible how they seems not care about missing out on thousand dollars of missed business opportunities.

I have a question on these gas cards. Is it possible to overdraft these things? I notice they work for prepaying gas by inserting the card at the pump. I have no idea how many dollars I have left on my card so I don’t want to buy more gas than what’s on the card. Or does the pump shut off when the card has a zero balance?

Does anyone know?

Pump has always shut off to fully drain the card for me at BP.

I don’t have any experience, but I imagine it works the same as a debit card and is rejected if the pre-auth doesn’t go through (this view is mildly supported by the T&C in the item description). So you’d do what your normally do with a debit card that’s low on funds and pay at the register for them to put a certain amount in the pump you’re using.

you press enter instead of amount when they ask how much $ you want to put in. Pump stops automatically when the balance hits 0.

At Shell, Phillips, and BP, it always automatically stops when the card balance is reached.

In my neighborhood they have transitioned to debit-card-only machines. To use credit or gift card, one needs to go inside the station and ask the clerk to pre-authorize the card.

I usually stick painter’s tape on to the card to keep check running balances. Finally ask the clerk to pre-authorize only an amount up to the remaining balance.

If you pay at pump shuts off when either tank is full or balance is 0 — whichever comes first. I try to avoid non self-service gas stations, but I’d assume it varies from gas station to gas station whether or not you need to know the exact balance to pre-auth or if they automatically drain.
I wouldn’t worry that any gas station gives you gas that you haven’t paid for. That won’t happen.
