Staples.com is again offering 20% off all Gap brand gift cards in all denominations ($200, $100, $50, $25).

These deals used to have some potential for gift card resellers who have an INK card, depending on selling relationships, but for the past number of months the market keeps flooding with these Staples sales and other deals making it hard to profit. Still good for actual use, of course.
On another note, the Mastercard gift card deal we posted a few days ago is now live. If you buy $300 in Mastercard gift cards at a Staples store, you’ll be able to get an Easy Rebate in the form of a $20 Staples gift card. This deal ends on Saturday, 3/25.
Staples is hard coded to not accept Staples GC for any other GC as of the start of this deal. 🙁 Sad. It was a great avenue while it lasted. Stuck with some high value Staples GC now. Will have to figure out what to do to drain those.
I got two sets of 2 x $200 cards today and already used them. My complaint is that the easy rebate inputs were rejected as incorrect SKU. They were the correct SKU and the form printed, etc. I’ve done easy rebates for over 10 years many times on many products and never had this happen. Now added hassle to contact them and get it resolved.
Anyone else having a problem with the rebate?
thanks for the alert, and good to see it available on line. Nice apparent money maker even this time — if you’re selling via certain bulk re-sellers. (tpm)
Anybody know if on-line purchases are being processed as Staples transactions (or via a 3rd party card mall)? Matters if you’re buying with INK. (I may have foggy memory, jaundiced by recent experience buying from Kroger on-line — which were processed as GCM transactions)
These are fulfilled by GCM, but the charge will show up as Staples.
I got two cards hacked last Nov still trying to get compensated. Like mentioned above it better to drain immediately after purchase
Stay away from these mastercard gc!
As long as you drain them quickly (i.e., same day), you should be safe.
or register them, I usually register mine, and Ive never had trouble.
Are you sure registering them will prevent thieves from using them? You may have just gotten lucky.
No, I almost always register mine and it doesn’t protect you.
