Daily Getaways is offering 20% off Marriott gift cards at 1 pm ET today (5/4/17). The thing is that there is only a tiny amount of cards available so you’ll have to be fast to get any.
- $500 Marriott e-gift card for $400, limit 1 (only 200 available)
- $250 Marriott e-gift card for $200, limit 2 (only 252 available)
- $100 Marriott e-gift card for $80, limit 3 (only 1,070 available)
A couple of data points on Payments Workshop indicate that these purchases might code as travel, so use your CSR or Prestige or cash out some Arrival+ points on the purchase.
yeah, I think the zillions of point/miles/deal bloggers have done a pretty excellent job of drawing so much attention to these things now that it essentially makes them unavailable to a majority of the readers they’re trying to help. Ironic, no? The double-edged sword continues to swing both ways.
I went through 2 checkouts entering cc info and everything, well before timer ran out and still got an error on each. Won’t be wasting my time with these anymore.
Ditto that. Unless they put up about 10X the had available this time, I won’t be wasting my time either. So that should give everyone else a bit more of a chance to win these lotteries.
I refreshed right at 10am pacific and was able to purchase it 3 of $100 cards.
Phew.. I was able to get a $100 card
yeah it doesn work.
got one, thank you
You got one??? I keep getting the error message – refreshing and clicking buy for the past 10 minutes 🙁 jealous but also happy for you
I clicked at 12:59 and was able to add it in cart. Was lucky on timing!
Interesting. I refreshed (“F5”) at 12:59:50 PM ET (per the time on the task bar and think it was accurate since it is updated automatically) and got no “Buy Now” option, did again at 12:59:57 PM and the refresh ended around 1:00:00 PM, still nothing. So I quickly did my third F5, the page probably ended around 1:00:02? when I got the “Buy Now”! I quickly added it to chart and now secured my $500 Marriott GC :). I was one of the 200 lucky man in this world :).
“Thank you for your order!
Congratulations, you’re going on vacation! Here are your purchase details.”
BTW, I opened two internet browsers, Firefox and IE. I was able to add one in Firefox first and then quickly switched to IE. Had to do a refresh first there and then add the card into the cart. It was then that I started to get the “Try again” message. Never been able to get any further luck despite trying for about 10minutes when it started to show “Sold Out”..
Sorry, this inventory is already on hold for other customers while they complete their order.
you get this msg..
