Our Verdict
There was a similar deal due to expire 12/17, not sure if that deal has been extended or a new one added. In the past the $500 variable load cards have worked for some and not others, best to check the price before completing your transaction. Obviously not scaleable due to the limit of one. Make sure you use a credit card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.
Found out on 12/16 that you have until 12/24 to use the $10 off e-coupon, but you had to add it to your Safeway account by 12/17. Digital coupon no longer shows as available.
The grocery store I visit lets me buy 500 dollar cash loads (ntspnd) with Credit Cards no manager approval. Then I go to the atm and withdrawal the cash. I also get 1000 gas points lol
what netspend card is it? i never heard about it. do you care to share some detail? any fees to withdraw it in cash? thanks
I tried for the $10 off $200 a couple weeks ago, bought a dining everywhere (my safeways haven’t carried regular variable vgcs in a year). So took a chance that this would be eligible, it did not deduct the $10 automatically, and i was paying more than $200 on a GC with a credit card so needed manager approval. Had to go to customer service where they just refunded $10 to my CC. So a slight hassle, and the credit was still on my safeway app, but i don’t think there are any truly eligible cards at my store. BUT, also had 4x fuel points on GC so that’s $.80 off per gallon. not bad.

Thanks. Where I live, Safeway is called Tom Thumb, lol. I had this offer in my Just4u account. I’ll have to see what denomination visas they carry.
I used the first Safeway deal and got a 500 dollar Visa card and I got another one for 12/24 so hope that works too.
I’m guessing the first one you used was for $200 minimum? After that there was one for $150, and now this post about one for $150 with a later expiration date. I used the old $200 and $150 offers, and I don’t see a new $150 offer; so, like other people said, I think there’s only one $150 offer, and they just extended the expiration date
I have this and just checked my local Safeway. They only carry $25 visa. So sad.
I think they just extend the expiration date. I used the one last week but didn’t see a new one showing up.
I activated the previous offer expiring 12/17 but never used it, this one was already activated when I logged in so I assume it’s the same one that was extended.
