The ones I signed up for were movies… All the $5 donations they got is more than enough to compensate the charity running the event. I only got a few… hopefully they’ll be another film next week.

It would be really funny if no one shows up for this event since most of us bought tickets to trigger free $$ and here this kind folks thinking great – event is sold out !!!

I don’t think that would be funny. They probably have to hire more people for the event and they won’t end up being needed costing the company money.

Do these “AMEX Express Checkout” deals work with cards with the Amex logo that are issued by Citibank and Wells Fargo?

I love money making deals. but somehow buying ticket with no show just doesn’t seem right. Imagine the performer being all excited follow by disappointment. If there is a way to donate these tickets, that will be awesome.

Most of these are test events (meaning that they are there to make sure the system works and money goes to the venue). It will be interesting to see random people buy into test events, though.

Why are test events available on the internet? Doesn’t TM have some kind of intranet where they do this kind of testing? Seems weird to have to warn people “not to buy”. Maybe they are displaying the visuals of the site to the venue for approval. Interesting.

If you’re going to ‘rip off’ a link from a Slickdeals post, please give it proper attribution.
