Our Verdict

Has anybody gotten the box before? If so, let us know in the comments below what you received. I’ve never had a baby before, but I imagine they are expensive so anything to help reduce that cost is good. I’m interested to know what does and doesn’t work for the 15% discount, do gift cards work (no, they don’t)? There are also two other ways to get a discount at Amazon:

As always big thanks to anybody who uses our Amazon links for this.

Great items lately; basically the Target registry bag plus 1-3 “premium items”, like a swaddle, muslin blanket, etc. I got one 2 years ago for baby #1, and was scrolling through Amazon 4 months ago and came across a banner under an item that said “claim your box now”. I claimed a second box. Then I just registered for my real baby #2, and it is offering me another box. Any idea on how many/frequently we can claim these? I am thinking annually would be reasonable?

Pro tip – both of you create your own registries. One of you creates the real one, the other creates one with a few things, the other makes a $10 purchase and collect your gift. Then collect your gift on the real one.

Best thing in the box is the swaddle blanket.

wouldn’t you need to have 2 prime accounts to do this?

I’m curious if I qualify for the 10% as I’m grandfathered in to the free family prime through my brother’s account. We don’t qualify for the 20% Mom discount for example unless we shop using my brother’s account.

If you are having a baby it’s great. The boxes have like an infant toy, blanket, wipes and a bottle.

With my first I made an Amazon registry for the expensive stuff I was buying myself like a crib and mattress, rocker, etc and made a due date a month early so I could get the coupon and order everything before baby was born. Will do the same again this time. Coupon does not work on gift cards.

Unfortunately there are strict category restrictions on the 15% discount… they don’t make this very clear in advance though.

“To help you prepare for the arrival of your baby, your Amazon Baby Registry includes a discount on selected items sold by Amazon.com in the Baby, Beauty, Grocery, Drugstore, Toys, and Maternity Departments.”
