The Fine Print
- $500 spend can be done on the new AU card or any other AU card, but not on the primary card
- Bonus points can take 8-12 weeks to post (usually it posts much faster)
- Limit one 5,000 bonus per primary card (adding two AUs won’t get you two bonuses)

As always there are three things to keep in mind when considering these deals:
- No fee to add an additional cardholder
- These authorized user accounts do count towards the Chase 5/24 rule
- SSN is required (not required if you add AU by chat, at least instantly).

find a new link for add AU, only the last part is different from DoC’s post, “16917-9-0” and “16918-9-0”, not sure this could mean a different offer that we can take. If someone knows, kindly let us informed.
I have a new data point. I enroll in the PRG spend 500 and got 5k last November, the 5k posted 12/09/16 as PRG 5K MR Pts/$500 spend. When this same offer show up again in Feb 207. Someone mention the it didn’t work. But when I call to enroll in the 10k pay over time. The rep mention I can get 5k for adding AU. I decide to say yes and give it a shot. Bought 500 gift card and 5k posted today as PRG 5k MR/Spnd $500/92 day. So you can in fact get it twice.
My 5000 bonus points for adding an authorized user to PRG posted 4 days after the $500 in purchases posted to my account (listed as “PRG 5K MR Pts/$500 spend”). Thanks!
Added myself as AU with a middle initial, same SSN obviously, got the card today and activated. Yummy 5k MR! Thanks DoC
Does anyone know if the $500 spent by the AU also counts towards the minimum spend requirement on the PRG card?
Hey Will, I am working on meeting the min spend on PRG gold and just wondering if I add AU using this offer, will the AU’s purchases ($500) to get their bonus will also count toward my own Minimum spend requirement? Juggling lot’s of Sign up bonuses right now, so will be helpful to know this. Thanks for your great work.

My husband is already the AU of my PRG since long time ago. Can I request another AU card for him to take advantage of this offer?
If you add it with his name but add the middle name or initial etc it should still work
Thanks for the suggestion. But the system does require the SSN, which would be the same number. Not sure how would it go?
That is what people have done in the past and how I did it yesterday. Just use his normal soc sec #….should work fine
If using only initial will it still count for 5/24?
I don’t understand the chat part. Can I add the AU via chat and still get the 5k points? Or does it have to be added via the above link?
On my blue cash everyday:
Add an Additional Card and you can earn a $25 statement credit after your Additional Card Members spend $250 in purchases in the following 3 months on their Cards.
On my Delta Platinum:
Add an Additional Card and you can earn 2,500 extra miles after your Additional Card Members spend $500 in purchases in the following 3 months on their Cards.
On my Gold card:
Add an Additional Card and you can earn 5,000 extra points after your Additional Card Members spend $500 in purchases in the following 3 months on their Cards.
If i add all 3 of them under my name (with an initial) and use my social will it show up on the credit report as a new account?

I am going to have to call American Express in the morning as well. The same thing happened to me. I spent $500 on the other authorized user cards and I never got my bonus.
