Our Verdict
I imagine everybody already has a Serve/Bluebird card as a way to unload gift cards when manufacturing credit card spend, but for those that don’t this is a perfect way to get started. Even if you have no intention of doing any manufactured spending I’d still recommend doing this offer, the Serve card is eligible for some AmEx offers and there is no hard pull to open the account.
This is a nice little money maker for those that don’t already have a card and could prove a great way to encourage friends & family members to sign up for their own account, which you might be able to borrow to help unload excess cards.
It’s important to remember that there is a monthly fee of $1 which is waived if you complete any of the following:
- Receive a direct deposit [Find out what is considered a direct deposit]
- Add $500 or more to your account
- Have your card in the ISIS wallet
- Live in any of the following states:Â NY, VT, and TX
Hi, enjoy your posts, but one question:
Why you don’t post the date for each of your article? Knowing the date would give a better idea whether the info. is current/valid or not.
Best,
Tom
We’ll look into adding the date somewhere. We usually append [expired] to the post titles when it’s no longer valid.
How long should it take to receive this? Is it the kind of promotion where it won’t post until after the 7/31 deadline? I’ve only been waiting under 2 weeks. Thanks.
There is no monthly fee for NY, VT, and TX. You may want to add this.
Done, anybody know which specific state consumer law causes amex not to charge this fee?
