AmEx Offer: AT&T Small Business Wireless Spend $150 & Get $50 Back (Up To Three Times) [Targeted]

The Offer

  • Spend $150 or more on AT&T Small Business Wireless and get $50 back, up to 3 times.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for wireless bill pay for AT&T AutoPay and one-time payment only.
  • In order to be eligible for the offer, you must enroll your Card and use that Card to pay your wireless bill or other service charges online directly with AT&T at att.com/smallbusiness.
  • Purchases for equipment or prepaid, U-verse, web hosting, or wireless services that do not appear on your AT&T wireless bill are excluded from this offer.
  • Your payment must be in the amount of $150 or more in a single transaction and completed by 12/1/16.
  • Payments by phone, at retail locations or via third parties do not qualify.
  • Enrollment limited.
  • Offer is non-transferable. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem.
  • Limit 3 statement credit(s) per American Express® online account.
  • Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/1/2016, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

Our Verdict

Pretty good discount if you’re usually charged $150 or more. Obviously won’t be that useful unless you already have an account as equipment and pretty much everything is excluded.

Update: Mommy Points said she received the triggered e-mail by paying a personal account. YMMV if it’ll actually work or not.

    Interestingly, while I have a business Amex, I only got targeted one one of my personal cards (and its AU).

    I wonder if this will work for a personal AT&T wireless bill. It shouldn’t by the terms but I wonder if it’ll work anyways….

    It says need to be used at att.com/smallbusiness and my regular login does not work with this link.. So not sure how useful this offer can be for personal users..

    Got it on my SPG Biz as AU and on my wife’s SPG Biz. I don’t have any payments for a couple weeks so hopefully we will have some data points before I give up the 5% from my Chase Ink. My bill is not a small business bill.

    Just paid the last AT&T bill 2 days ago. Will have to wait until next month to try.

      You can prepay your AT&T wireless bill at any time. You will simply have credit on your account. During the ApplePay promo using Discover I paid approximately an entire year in advance.

        I just the $50 credit this morning after making a $150 payment on the 29th. Made one more payment. Got email. But when I tried to make another one, it said that the credit balance had to be less than $300 and the account was no longer eligible for an online payment. Thoughts?

          ATT is letting me prepay out for as long as I want. Not sure why you are getting that message.

            I receive the same message when I try to go beyond $300 in credit balance. I have 3 more $150 charges that I will use up in one month. Today, I discovered the offer available on another account that wasn’t there a month ago, so I would like to maximize the $450 in charges, but won’t be able to online before 12/1/16. I will try what another person suggested by calling in.

    If you are having issues with hitting the CR wall online, call into support and they will happily take your money and the email should come soon after.

    Just made two payments on different credit cards in sisters personal ATT account. Everything should work, but no confirmation emails in last 15 minutes. Shows pending on credit card, but usually get instant Amex offer congrats. A bit worried Amex update the coding.
