Amex Offers: How to Make an Offer Magically Reappear

If you saved an Amex Offer on one card, it disappears from the others. Here’s how to get it to come back.

One Offer per Login

Some Amex Offers are available via Twitter, and those can be saved on each card by syncing each one with a separate Twitter account. Many of the better offers are available only in the online Amex login, either as a public offer to everyone or targeted to some cardholders.

When saving the offer on one card, it disappears from all the other cards in the same Amex login. The workaround is to open each card on a separate tab and then you’ll be able to save it on all of the cards.

See How To Sign Up For Multiple American Express Sync Offers for more details.

Get the Offer Back

Often, people forget to open a separate tab for each card, and – in the heat of the moment – save the offer on one card, causing it to disappear from the remaining cards.

Reader wwllmm shares a neat trick to get the offer back, albeit with some difficulty. If you’ll remove the card from the Amex login and place it in its own login, the offer will magically reappear and can be saved. Yay!

Better yet, you can immediately delete the new login and add the card back to your old login as it was originally. The offer will remain on the card and will show up as ‘Saved’ in your regular login. (Demflyers also confirms that this works.)

Option # 2

Readers point out in the comments of this post that if you have many cards that don’t have the offer, it’s easier just to remove the card which DOES have the offer, and this will cause the offer to show up again on the other cards. Save the offer on all the cards using the multi-tab trick, then add back the card, and all cards will have the offer.

Awesome!

Step-by-Step

For those who like step-by-step instructions on how to remove a card, here goes:

  • On the home screen in your Amex login, select  ‘Account Services’ from the menu bar at the top of the page
  • Select ‘Card Management’
  • Select ‘Remove card from online management’, then choose which card to remove

To register a new card in a new login, go to americanexpress.com when logged out and select ‘Create a New Online Account’.

To add a card to an existing Amex login, go to Account Services > Card Management > Register a New Card.

Does this still work in 2023? Added an offer to the wrong card and CS can’t move it.

I know this is an OLD post, but hopefully someone can help.
I saved an offer to the wrong card and want to move it over to another card now (stack with other Hilton offers). When this post was written, MBM worked so one cardmember could have many of the same offers, but that doesn’t work anymore. Anybody know if unlinking the card with the offer will make it show up in the other offers again? If not, is there any way to remove an offer so it shows up in other cards again?

This actually happened to me and I tried to follow the same steps per this old post hoping the offer will re-appear to be added to another card.

And it doesn’t work anymore. When I add the wrong card back to another login account, it appeared with the previously saved offer without any ways to remove it.

I’m still searching online to see if there is another way to do so but until then, this old method of removing card and adding card back to another account no longer works (at least in my case).

Why not just maintain a separate online acct for each card?

Is there a waiting period before the offer shows up in the account after removing the card? I actually have one card that doesn’t have the offer and already added the offer to 4 of my other cards. I removed that single card and created a new account for it only. Waited a few days and still nothing.

Thanks.

IME it should be instant. Could be sold out at this point…

Is there a way to load the offers to all the AUs on the amex website? I got the staples deal on 4 cards and used the multi tab trick to get them all loaded, but then wondered if there was something i could have done to get it on all the AU cards i’ve got. Any ideas? Thanks

I don’t understand why people just don’t create a log in for each account. I use last pass so it isn’t a huge deal. Plus the rules usually state one offer per online login. I know that isn’t enforced but having a login for each account is good insurance in case they do decide to enforce!

SO….In my case, open 39 tabs??….umm…no thanks….I just created separate logins for each card and keep excel sheet ( with login info ) to track the synced offers…

I just open up all the cards I have in different tabs … find the offer and sign up at the same time.
