Barclaycard To No Longer Issue Williams-Sonoma Credit Card

Barclaycard used to issue the Williams-Sonoma (WS) credit card, that partnership has now ended and the card is no longer taking new applicants. Williams-Sonoma will be moving to a store card that can only be used for purchases at Williams-Sonoma, it’s unclear who will issue this card but I suspect it will be Comenity bank as WS issues the other credit cards under the WS Brand (e.g  Pottery Barn, West Elm, Mark and Graham, and Rejuvenation). This will likely mean that the shopping cart trick will work for the new Williams-Sonoma new store card as well. We’ll do another post when this new card launches.

I inadvertently sent my Wm Sonoma payment to Barclay. Barclay Cashed my check ($330.00) and now I can’t get my money back from Barclay. I have called numerous times and spoken with people at Barclay and cannot get any satisfaction. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this issue resolved.

Action Cannot Be Completed

We’re sorry. There’s been an unexpected interruption and this action cannot be completed right now. Please try again later.

Just tried SCT and was prepared. the above popped up when I accepted terms at end of application. Not sure what to do now. Not even sure if I was approved. No email to confirm, like Community usually does. I will have to get back to you in a couple weeks about if anything came in the mail or not. One thing is they do ask for full social just like Pottery Barn and West Elm, but so far no HP only SP’s on them.

If anyone has any insight on this or if same has happened to them let me know. Also, would be nice to know what credit limit amounts others are getting on this card, high or low…PB & WE start in the thousands usually, so they are pretty high in the CL department.

UPDATE

Ok so had to try act again and it worked. Only gave $500 CL, Pottery Barn and West Elm both gave $2000 …. So, I believe because they sell less expensive items (i.e. Non-furniture) Comenity is doing lower CL’s on this card. ?

Does anyone know it if luv button works for this card?

Your information appears to be incomplete. The information I’ve received indicated that it will have 2% back at restaurants so it won’t be exclusively a store card. Details are limited so far but I haven’t seen anything to say it’s not usable everywhere as the current card is.

Comenity is buying the existing accounts from Barclays… packages explaining the timeline went out last week. Mine says the new (replacement) Visa card will arrive by early Sept and be usable starting 9.11 and the old Barclaycard will stop working 9.12. Any rewards will be carried over and all existing terms & conditions apply.

I have a WS Platinum Visa card. Will Barclay continue to service it?

No Comenity took over WS visa. Comenity offers better rewards on that card then Barclay’s did.

Did you guys get my message? Barclay is offering 50k sign-up bonus on Hawaiian Airline card via dummy booking.
