Our Verdict

Recently Barclaycard made changes to this card including an increase annual fee (to $75) and sneakily cut the earnings rates on this card as well. 15,000 points gets you a standard room at any Wyndham property, so the annual fee card is worth three free nights at any Wyndham property.

I obviously thought this bonus was better value when it came with the lower annual fee and better earning rates – but if you can maximize those three free nights then you can get some excellent value here. The other thing to keep in mind is the fact that you can do cash + points (3,000 points + cash) and those also provide excellent value in some cases.

If you have any questions about Barclaycard credit cards, I’d recommend reading through this linked post before asking questions in the comments. I’m also considering adding this bonus to our list of the best current credit card bonuses.

The “Direct link to offer” has expired. I’ve extensively searched the web to see if there is an active link, but I could find none. Just wanted to let you know.

the 45k offer might not have annual fee for the first year.

My first biling cycle closes, points posted and no annual fee charges.

is it a new thing with Barclays to not give instant approvals?

I just got aproved for this card
And i had this card last year and closed it after using the 2 free night.
We used 2 cards for 4 free nights in Amsterdam.
Barclay is strange.
I have applied numerous times for the Hawaiian and Jet Blue cards which i never had and was constantly declined and now i was approved for this card when i already had it last year and closed it.
To me 3 free nights at Wyndham is a top offer.
Wyndham has very cheap and very good properties
Some of them are almost like motels like super 8 and days inn.
And some are top notch like Ramada, TRYP and of course Wyndham Grand.
So the fact that there are no categories and everything is 15K points can be huge if you select a top property.
Also they have lots of properties in places where you wouldnt find Marriott Hyatt Hilton SPG but Wyndham will have low end property hotels.
One more note 3K points plus cash can be very useful.
The Cash mostly is only $50 when the hotel is like $200+ Per night so you only spend 3K and save 12K
At this rate you can have 5 nights for 15K points and $250/$300 total.

Hi William,
Do you receive a referral on the 45K Wyndham link?
Thanks!

Someone should expose that the Wyndham rewards programs is a bit of a scam. For example, when i try to find a rewards room at the high end hotels like the Shelborne in South Beach Florida or the Wyndham Koloa Landing in Hawaii, I find none available for next year.

I called their rewards services group and they can’t offer any explanation. The programs “all hotels and no-blackout” claim is a misrepresentation.

So unless your excited about some of their 2 star properties I would avoid the Wyndham program.

Some Wyndham properties have decided NOT to participate in this offer. It’s not a scam but Wyndham should have posted a notice on which properties do not participate.

Maybe scam is not the right word. But it appears intentionally deceptive to not mention that your few key inspirational properties will be omitted from the program.

There used to be a version of this card with 15k anniversary points instead of 6k, right? Think there’s any shot of that offering coming back soon?

“The other thing to keep in mind is the fact that you can do cash + points (3,000 points + cash) ”

Any way to explain this?

If I’ve previously had and cancelled the 45K sign up bonus, am I eligible for the 15K no annual fee card? I’m not familiar with Barcalys rules.

I mean I’ve had the card with the annual fee that came with a 45K sign up bonus. I want to know if I can get the card with no annual fee and be eligible for the 15k sign up bonus.

I could have phrased things more clearly.

You have to spend $2k to get the last 15k points.
