Best Posts Last Week: $450 American Express Bonuses, Double Rewards & $60 In Amazon Credits

American Express made a number of moves last week, they changed the sign up bonus on their Blue Cash cards to include 10% on Amazon (up to $2,000 in spend). It’s worth considering if you can get $450 on the Everyday card or $450 on the Preferred card, as long as you’ll use the 10% back on Amazon. American Express are also offering double rewards at small businesses until the end of the year. In addition to that it’s now confirmed they will be making additional improvements to the Platinum card in 2017.

You can still get the 70,000 point bonus on the Chase Ink Plus card (with the annual fee waived) by going into a Chase branch. Unfortunately they’ve made some negative changes to their annual fee refund policy. There was a lot of other news in the credit card space last week, you can read all of it below.

It was a quiet week for new checking account promotions, Blue Federal are offering a $100 bonus for those in CO with no requirements, but it’s restricted to two of their branches. First South Financial are also offering a $275 bonus but only for their Colliervile branch.

Staples are offering a $20 Visa rebate when you purchase $300+ in Visa gift cards. Swagbucks are offering a $16 moneymaker when you make a $9 donation and you can get $60 in various Amazon credits by uploading a photo to Amazon prime photos. I dont know where to write it
But i have recieved an offer from barclay in the mail.
Earn 15,000 bonus miles with your AAdvantage Aviator Red MasterCard
When you spend $500 or more in new purchases each calendar month in November December and January.
So basically that’s 16,500 AA miles for $1,500 in spend which comes out to 11 miles per $1. That’s Sweet.
(The only problem is. I got this card Novemeber 2014 and when i was about to close it in Novemeber 2015 to avoid the $89 annual fee they waived the annual fee so i left it open. And now come Novemeber the annual fee will hit so i wonder is it worth $119 for 16,500 AA miles???
($119 is $89 plus $30 that i would get for swiping $1,500 on a 2% cash back credit card like my double cash or spark).
