A few credit cards have increased sign up bonuses, the Barclaycard Arrival Plus is now at 50,000 points (worth $525 towards travel). American Express also has 75,000 bonus on the business platinum and up to 75,000 points on the business gold cards. FNBO Best Western card also has a 80,000 point bonus and the Barclaycard Lufthansa card’s 50,000 bonus is due to expire on October 2nd.
Chuck put together a great post on card-linked rewards programs. There was some good news from Citi with pre-qualified offers not including the 24 month language. There was also some bad news with them limiting point sharing to 100,000 points annually. You can now enroll for all of the Q4 5% rotating categories as well.
It was a pretty good week for bank account bonuses. BB&T have a $100 bonus worth considering if you’re in AL, DC, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV. Bank of Colorado are giving away $100 plus a $100 donation to charity with no bonus requirements for people in NM, KS, NE WY & CO and there were a bunch of other bonuses we added that are also worth considering (see them all below).
It was also a great week for deals. Make sure you follow us on Twitter as a lot of the better deals have now expired (e.g the great BOGO + $75 gift card hotel deal). You can currently buy third party gift cards with eBay gift cards for the next month. You can get a $5 bonus when you reload your Amazon gift card bonus with $100. You can get an easy and quick 500 free Virgin America miles and Staples has a gift card deal for this week.
