Best Posts Last Week: Increased Credit Card Offers Galore & More

Big news of last week was the finalization of Marriott’s acquisition of SPG, you can transfer SPG points at a 1:3 ratio to Marriott and also transfer in the reverse direction at 3:1. We took a look at all the Marriott/SPG cards to compare them and see what your best options would be. American Express changed the sign up bonus on their SPG cards to two free nights at any category 1-5 property but you can still get the same 25,000 point bonus (worth 75,000 Marriott points) by using a referral link – you can share your links here (and consider using a readers if you want to apply).

That wasn’t the only news though. Bank of America has increased the sign up bonus on two of their business cards to $200/$250, the Chase Ink Cash has been increased to $300 and the Amex Plum has been increased to $600. In other news there looks to be another 3% cash back card on the block starting next year. And there was some concern about U.S. Bank automatically denying you for having your ARS report frozen.

BankDirect did an e-mail blast for their checking account that can earn up to 22,000 American Airline miles. Capital One is offering $100 for those in select states and KeyBank has extended their popular offer to those in PA, MA & CT.
