Best Posts This Week: New Citi $650 Bonus, Premier 50k Bonus, New Benefits + 75k AmEx Bonus

The good news keeps on coming from Citibank, this week they announced a new called card AT&T Access More. It comes with a sign up bonus of up to $650 for a new phone and can earn 3x ThankYou points on all online purchases and travel. They also increased the sign up bonus on the Premier card to 50,000 points after $3,000 in spend (this bonus is no longer split over two years), which times in nicely with their refresh on this card which changed the 3x and 2x categories and also vastly expanded what is considered travel (gas is now included).

Citi also made a number of more minor changes to their credit cards. The Citi AA Executive now comes with a $100 statement credit for Global Entry/TSA Pre Check. They also made changes to redeeming cash back with the Citi Dividend. Because Citi cards are becoming so popular, we had a look at how doing a product change effects your eligibility for getting a bonus more than once.

American Express must be feeling the pressure from Citi, because they made a number of improvements as well. It’s now possible to get the American Express personal platinum with a 25,000 point bonus and no annual fee. They also added a new 30% rebate when you use pay with points for an airline you choose on the Business Platinum card. It’s also possible to get a 75,000 point bonus on the American Express Business Platinum (although I’d recommend calling in to get the 100,000 point offer instead).

There were a number of good deals this week as well, most of them have already expired so make sure you follow us on Twitter to get notified instantly of any new deals. Of the deals still alive, getting 21.5% cash back on Uber rides if your a Capital One quicksilver customer (and two free rides) is probably the best deal I’ve seen in awhile. LevelUp offering 5x and a 10% bonus + discounts is a pretty decent deal as well though.

There was also some interesting deal news this week. Chuck talked to a portal owner, if you shop through a portal for extra cash back or points then reading the interview is an absolute must. Chuck also had a look at eBay and the recent problems people have been having there as well.

It was another quiet week for bank bonuses, Discover extended their $50 deal. Which might actually be worth considering because they are offering 20¢ per purchase as well at the moment. As always, all of our posts from this week can be viewed below – as well as posts from other sites we recommend and deals dying next week.
