$10 Bonus for NEW Bluebird or Serve Members with Tax Refund Deposit [Publicly Available]

[We originally posted this offer on January 18 for Bluebird accounts only. Thanks to Maximizing Money for letting us know that the same offer is available for new Serve accounts as well. We’ve updated the post with this info.]

The Offer

Direct Link Bluebird

Direct Link Serve

Open up a new Bluebird or Serve account and have your federal tax refund deposited to the new account. Bluebird/Serve will give you a $10 bonus credited to your account.

The Fine Print

  • Federal tax return must be filed by April 15th, 2015.
  • Must receive your refund by May 31st, 2015.
  • Statement credit will be posted to your account within 30 days of filling the requirements
  • If it’s a joint tax return the first name and social security number associated with the refund must match the information on the Bluebird/Serve account.
  • Limit of one bonus per Bluebird/Serve account.
  • No more than two tax refunds may be added to an American Express service account per calendar year.

Our Verdict

Most of you probably have a Bluebird/Serve/Redbird account as thus won’t be eligible for this offer, since it’s only for new Bluebird/Serve members. If you were about to open an account, it could make sense to sign up through the link on the promo page, so that you’ll definitely be eligible for the $10 bonus.

Here’s a list of all the Tax Refund Deposit Bonuses that we’ve found so far:

Please let us know if you come across any other such bonuses so that we can share them on the site.

Is there any current bonus for Serve for people that aren’t due a refund?

No, I am afraid not. There are still some softcard promotions, but most of them are due to end shortly.

Oh my!!!! I just signed up for BB 2 weeks ago (through original link and not promo offer) and just got my permanent BB card through mail. What should I do to be eligible for this offer? Really disappointed now…..any advice is greatly appreciated!

I don’t think you will be eligible, but you could try giving American Express a call to see if they will extend the offer to you.

I’m a bit confused. Wasn’t there a post just yesterday saying its not targeted after all for Redbird and Serve?

Yup, but my comment above was before that post came live. I’ve made that clearer now.
