Our Verdict
Most of our readers probably have multiple Visa Signature cards and probably a couple of Chase Visa Signature cards. Since the limits of the offer seem to be tied to the card we should be able to get a lot of use out these offers.
There’s no resale use from the gift card deal, but it could be a nice way of getting a 20% discount on tickets.
You may not be able to do these two offers together since you’ll probably have to pay with the Visa Signature in order to get the second ticket free; if you paid with a gift card it probably won’t work.
HT: Slickdeals
Used this today. Tickets we $19 each, convenience fee was about $2. They took $19.50 off the total, so all told about $21 for two 3D movie tickets. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome!
How many fees does fandango tack on vs buying at the theatre in person?
Not sure, sorry.
You can avoid Fandango fees (at least at AMC theaters) by becoming an AMC Stubs member. It’s $12 annually, but you get $10 back for every $100 you spend at AMC, so it pays for itself if you go to movies even occasionally. Otherwise, I think the fee is $1-$2 per ticket.
