- Both cards come with an introductory APR of 0% for the first three months
- Cash back card earns 2% on the following categories: office supplies, wireless telephone services, computer network services, insurance products, and telecommunications services and equipment. Earns only 1% cash back if these exceed 20% of total spend each year.
- No annual fee. Full fee & APR table at the bottom of this PDF.
- Cards can only be applied for in branch. They have 104 locations all of which are in California.
Our Verdict
These cards are only really worth it for the sign up bonus, as they both earn at a paltry 1% rate (apart from the cash back card which does have some 2% categories). For everyday spend you’d be much better off with the American Express Fidelity card which is 2% cash back on all purchases with no annual fee.
There are a few business cash sign up bonuses that are higher than the $250 offered by California Bank & Trust and several personal cash sign up bonuses which are also larger. I also think you’re going to struggle to get this card unless you have a legitimate business (e.g eBay & Amazon businesses probably won’t qualify), but the only way to really find out is by going into a branch & applying.
I’m personally not going to be going after this offer because of the above reasons. If you do decide to go for it then please let me know how you got on in the comments below.

Any information on if they do a hard pull for credit score?
I’d imagine they do a hard pull because it’s a credit card. Virtually all card issuers will no a hard pull for credit card applications, the exception are some secured cards that are advertised as no credit checks.
