[Expired] CardCash: Get An Extra 5% Off Sitewide on All Giftcards + 5x with INK

Warning: If you’re making a purchase, be sure you use the card within 45 days otherwise you have no buyer protection. You can also use the e-mail doc@cardcash.com to hopefully get better than normal customer support.

The Offer

  • Cardcash is offering 5% off sitewide with coupon code: SUMMERDAYS

The Fine Print

  • Expires: 6/14/2017 at 11:59 PM EST
  • Maximum $3,000 per customer

Our Verdict

Cardcash earns 5x with Chase Ink cards but only when you use Paypal to checkout. As far as I know no portals offer anything back on Cardcash purchases. As always, second-hand exchanges are tough to deal with, and many people have had experiences with Cardcash gift cards coming back as depleted which then requires follow-up.

I have had awful luck with cardcash. About 90% of the cards I ordered came with zero balance. I did always get my money back, but it’s a hassle and not worth the stress.

OTOH, I have noticed that the zero balance tends to occur on physical cards and not that much with the egift card.

I’d be particularly leery of retail merchants, as opposed to things like restaurants. I bought a clothing store gift card from them last year and it was really a “merchandise credit.” Sure enough, the store identified it as the return of stolen merchandise and voided by gift card. It was slightly beyond 45 days before I realized it, but Card Cash refunded my money. Good thing they did, or I would never buy from them again. But I certainly did learn a lesson from this.

45 days is crazy short for buyer protection. I’ll stick to Raise for all second-hand GC purchases.

Says the promo code is no longer available. Strange?

They also raise prices on brands in advance of sales

Looks like they removed some companies from the promo. Best buy was availabe before this went live. Not sure if that was intentional.
