Our Verdict
Previously this card has come with the annual fee but the other benefits remain the same. I’m actually tempted to apply for this offer, Fairmont has some really nice properties available. Before I sign up I’ll need to decide where I actually want to stay and if I can plan the trip in the next twelve months or not. I never recommend signing up for these free night bonuses unless you have a specific plan, because what inevitably happens is that as the expiry approaches you’ll be willing to compromise where you stay.
Let me know your thoughts on this new offer. Also keep in mind that while we think the new Chase application rules don’t apply (or don’t apply as much) to co-branded credit cards, there is still some risk that you’ll be denied for too many recent inquiries.

Raffles properties are eligible for this certificate right? I want this card for an upcoming stay at the Raffles Dubai.
thanks for the heads up james… I’ve been wanting to get a fairmont card, but its unfortunate how chase is viewing apps recently. would hate to waste another pull.
@will/other folks – what are the best recommended strategies for auto approval with chase? I know they pull EQ for business cards in my neck of the woods. and I think they pull both EXP + EQ for personal cards.
Great deal even with the AF! I picked it up in January with the $95 AF and booked 2 nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs next month. Free upgrade to Jr Suite using certs (which is normally $650/night) and you also get about $150 in breakfast/dining certs.
Good idea about having a plan in place, though, since there are so few Fairmont properties.
Remember that mid-tier status awarded with the CC comes with a suite upgrade that can be used on award nights.
Good point!
Unfortunately, this new offer comes with only 2 free nights, NOT 2 free nights and breakfast, like the past offers.
Seems like a great offer if you have a set use for the points. There are some really nice Fairmont properties out there. My lady and I are thinking about getting 2 of these cards and hitting up the Fairmont Mayacoba for a long weekend.
I will hold off until it also comes with a $50 statement credit.
Any idea how long it takes for the reward nights to post after spend ?
The post within a few days of the statement close in which you meet the spend.
