Chase Ultimate Reward Transfers To Amtrak Will End December 8th

Amtrak have announced that Chase Ultimate rewards points will not be transferable to their loyalty program from the 8th of December. Here is their official statement:

Effective December 8, 2015, the option to transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Amtrak Guest Rewards® will be discontinued. Eligible Chase Ultimate Rewards customers can transfer points into Amtrak Guest Rewards through December 7, 2015. To see if your Chase card is eligible or to transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Amtrak Guest Rewards, visit http://www.chase.com/ultimaterewards.

This isn’t a huge surprise, we’ve previously speculated that point transfers wouldn’t continue after it became clear that Bank of America would be the card issuer for the new Amtrak co-branded cards, but it’s a disappointing announcement none the less.
