Our Verdict
Feel free to share your referral links/details in the comments. This is a pretty good deal if there is no hard pull to open the account. I doubt you’ll be able to fund with a credit card as it looks like in branch opening is required. Probably won’t add it to our best checking sign up bonus page due to the fact we don’t have a lot of information about this bonus yet. As always, share your datapoints in the comments below.
Interestingly they also offer a mile high APY account, this account earns 5.28% APY. You need a checking account for this and every time you make a purchase using your debit card it’s rounded up to the nearest dollar and that difference is transferred into this account.

I’m a member but referrals dont appear to be working from their webpage… maybe someone smarter than I can figure it out
Ughh, the only way to get money into the 5% savings account is via the rounding of debit purchases. Just another marketing gimmick.
Anyone here have an existing account that can refer me?
Yeah I’d jump at this deal in 2 seconds except for the rounding tease. I’m on the fence about this bonus even though I live in Jefferson county. Planning on major CC & bank openings right after the new year with my spouse I am motivated in keeping my reports pretty clear.
Maybe bookmark this page and try for a referral to use ~Mid Dec…
Think they would shut me down if I made 25,000 $0.01 transactions?
hahaha, I was thinking the same thing.
The Centennial Bank bonus offer is much better than this. You can do it for you and your wife, and it’s $500 each if you complete all requirements. They even have a 2% up to $20k checking account. I signed up myself and my wife last week and we’ve both already received the $65 eStatement bonus. You need to go into the branch to open, but they have branches all over the metro area here.
On phone now and it won’t let me refer. I’ll be on my laptop in the next hour and I’ll post a link then
