In case you didn’t know, Credit Sesame recently launched their referral program. If you refer 6 or more friends in any calendar month, Credit Sesame will send you a $150 amazon gift card. I was very critical of this referral program to begin with, because Credit Sesame limited this to the first 100 people per month. In addition to this, they also didn’t let their users know when this limit had been reached.
It looks like Credit Sesame has seen the error of their ways and has updated the terms & conditions on this referral bonus and there is no longer any limit to the number of people who can receive the $150 amazon gift card bonus. This is a very generous offer and something most people should be able to achieve with a little bit of hustle.

- Credit monitoring notifies you of major changes to your credit (e.g new applications for credit)
- Provides a free credit score, this is your Experian National Equivalency score. You should make sure that people you refer understand that this is not a FICO score and is not looked at by lenders.

Before you start blasting your referral links everywhere, keep in mind that when somebody uses your link they will see your full name. Credit Sesame has also started sending warnings out to people that are “spamming” their referral links. My plan is to wait until the start of December and then ask a few friends and family members to sign up using my link, I’m sure if I’m upfront about the referral bonus they’ll happily sign up. While I’m at it, I’ll happily explain the difference between the score Credit Sesame offers and the scores lenders actually use and show them how they can get the scores lenders use for free.
