Our Verdict
As with any portal bonus/sale you really need to compare to other portals to see if you’re getting a good deal or not. I use cashbackmonitor to make these comparisons. Let’s take a quick look all eBates rates are 10% unless otherwise noted.
- Virgin America: next best rate is $5 per booking (eBates better if you’re booking is $50+)
- Petco: next best is 8%
- Puma: next best is 10%
- Accor Hotels: next best is 8%
- Macy’s: next bet is 10.5%
From what I saw eBates is mostly offering the same or slightly better rates, unfortunately most of the most popular retailers aren’t eligible. Make sure to do your own comparisons (and also look at historical rates) before making any purchases. Here’s my eBates link if you want to use it
