Our Verdict
The SimplyCash card offers 1% cashback on ordinary purchases; the added 1% from this offer won’t make it better than a standard 2% card.
The sweet spot here is to rack up spend on office supply and wireless purchases which already gets 5%. Or spend a lot on the 3% category which you selected – restaurants, gas, airfare, hotel, etc. With this bonus offer, you’ll end up with 6% back on office/wireless and 4% back on your selected category. Nice!

Not exactly 1% additional. The $50 only award when the spending reach an increment of $5000. So if I spent $9000, I will only get $50. Icing on the cake tho.
Well yeah, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not 1%. Get it as close to $5k increments as possible. I’ll watch my spending and know when to cut off further purchases accordingly.
Not a bad offer when you look at it as 6% cash back at office supply. I was targeted and happily enrolled.
