- For a Wells Fargo Debit Card, credit earned through this offer will be applied as a statement credit to the primary Wells Fargo consumer checking account linked to your debit card within 45 days following your first completed purchase using Wells Fargo Wallet by August 31, 2016. Before we provide the $10 credit to your checking account statement, your checking account must have a U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number associated with it.
- For a Wells Fargo Credit Card, credit earned through this offer will be applied as a statement credit to your Wells Fargo Credit Card account within 1 to 2 billing periods following the end of the promotional period, August 31, 2016. To qualify for this promotional offer, your Wells Fargo Credit Card account must be open, not delinquent, and not in default at the time of fulfillment.
- If you enroll more than one eligible Wells Fargo card in Wells Fargo Wallet and complete a transaction, you will only receive a single $10 statement credit for a completed Wallet purchase.
- This offer is not transferable.
Our Verdict
Looks like this is a targeted offer as it’s not transferable, that’s a shame otherwise this would be an easy $10. It’s possible that they won’t enforce this, if anybody tries then let us know in the comments if you were successful or not. For now I’m just going to hope I’m targeted at a later date.

I just open a checking account today. and I did not see the $10 offer today. so I just want to wait it for 15 days to make the first purchase.
After getting the Wells Fargo checking bonus, I downloaded the Wells Fargo app.
There was an ad the Wells Fargo wallet sometimes before app login and after app login. I clicked on it, then it would show the $10 incentive. I signed up with my newly received debit card.
This morning, I made a purchase today at the grocery store and immediately saw the $10 credit as pending when I checked my account in my car.
Cannot see the offer since there’s no WF Wallet tile showing on my sign-on page. Has NFC on. Disabled ad-blocking and DNS-blocking on my router. However, the WF Mobile app does warn that it needs Keeping History one in Android Developer mode and that my phone doesn’t support Goolge Play Service.
Wanted to see the offer on my app. And I did eventually.
It resided on login screen. After signed up for the wallet, the offer got added into wallet – I can see it after login to wallet. Expires 25 March, 2017.

Cell phone wallets make me nervous as a mouse in a cat rescue facility. Lose your phone and someone can go wild. Personally, I do not have anything related to my banking nor credit cards nor investment accounts on my phone.
IMO, the risk is not worth the reward nor convenience.
It’s covered by zero liability insurance and they usually require a password into a phone and then again for the app. Seems a lot more secure than a lost card that only requires a signature that isn’t checked.
Agreed. Plus if your phone was built in the last 2 years or so it should be encyrpted by default, and more cell phones are coming with finger print readers which is more secure and makes using password management easier than having all your passwords monkey123
