I could clipp this coupon even though I’m not prime member. Prime Only?
I tried it on a non-Prime account and promo does not show up at checkout.
Where does the $5 credit show up? In the gift card balance? I just reloaded $25 after clipping the code and so far no promo credit has shown up. So maybe it does have to be an actual gift card purchase… If it doesn’t show up in the 2 days mentioned in the fine print, I’ll contact customer service and I’m sure they’ll make it right. After all there is a big blue “reload” banner on the page advertising this offer.
sometimes I think they are hoping you will forget about that $5. It won’t show up anywhere. Check tomorrow or the next; put something “sold by Amazon” in your cart. It should show up when you get to the page where you select payment. You should see a box at the bottom that says “use $5 gift card”…
Farsighted99, you have every fact wrong. It is not a gift card, it is an account credit. You do not select “use $5 gift card,” it is applied to your purchase automatically. And no, they aren’t “hoping that you will forget about it” — the credit will be applied to your next amazon purchase, whether you forget or not.

For me, Amazon issued it as a courtesy credit that shows up in the cart on a specific item sold and shipped by them. I’ll try linking this image as an example… http://imgur.com/R9QKf6K
