Arielle posted a few months ago about a free gas opportunity by buying gift cards at Stop & Shop or Giant Foods. A similar offer is going now.
The gist of the offer is that you’ll get up to $2.20 off per gallon (or more in some areas) by buying $500 Visa gift cards. One $500 gift card will get you 1500 Stop & Shop/ Giant points which will get you $1.50 off a gallon at Shell. Three $500 gift cards will get you 4500 points which will get you $2.20 off per gallon for two separate fill-ups (2200 points for one fill-up and 2200 for the second).
Points only last 30 days. And be sure to scan your Giant/S&S rewards card to get the points when buying the gift cards and to use the points when buying the gas at Shell.
One important note: This current offer seems to be only for Visa gift cards, not like the past offer which we mentioned both Visa and Mastercard gift cards.
Another note: The Stop & Shop offer is Oct. 17 – Â Oct. 23, while the Giant offer is Oct. 19 – Oct. 25.
