Opened June 20
Received $100 on July 24
Received remaining $200 on Sep 25

I signed up early on, so the only requirement for the second part was to have one DD per month. I used my work DD.

Also used their no-fee ATM service this weekend. They automatically took away the fee within 48 hours. Super convenient!

I am going to do 10 amazon transactions of less than $1. Is that good enough to satisfy the requirement for 10 debit card transactions?

Should work. I made the mistake of talking to a representative on the phone who saw that I did that and she said that was not the point of the offer/debit card. I’ve since made several legit charges just in case.

Opened account on 6/29, ACH transfer $1001 from my CU on 7/12. Have performed 12 debit transactions. Rec’d first $100 (and a congratulatory email) on 7/31. Wondering when the $200 will show and if I should do another $1000 ACH to satisfy the “recurring” terminology in the details.

Has anyone received the $200 bonus yet?

Looks like it will take at least 90 days for the $200 to post

“2) Maintain your account satisfactorily with no overdrafts for 90 days”

Did you ever receive the $200 second bonus? Curious whether your ACH triggered it.

Chase didn’t even call me about it.

I agree with all the comments in this thread. Opened the account with $5k on Chase Freedom Unlimited (7,500 points…woo-hoo!!!). Before opening i called Chase that i will be doing a 5k transaction and as a result everything went smooth. They opened my account and went over all the benefits like free ATMs all over US. Excellent customer service in general.

This will be my go to bank going forward. No body talk this nice to anymore in banking. Really happy to have found this bank through Doc!! Thanks DoC!!

Another important thing. No fees what so ever for personal checking account.

Love this bank! I live in Smyrna and work really close to the Sandy Springs branch.

+7/19 – I opened an account and CC funded with Chase Freedom Unlimited ($5,000)
—CSR (Makisha – extremely pleasant over phone/email) reached out shortly after via email to let me know she would be contacting me and asked for a photo of my license (everything is super easy over email and they’ve been virtually immediate in responding to me)
—Chase denied the CC funding because they texted and suspected fraud; I confirmed it was me; they said the transaction would need to be re-run.
+7/20 – Had correspondence with Makisha to determine whether I needed to re-apply online and whether the “newcomer” promo code would still be applicable (attaching a screenshot of correspondence with Chase letting them know it was me who made transaction so she knew it was denied because they suspected fraud).
—Makisha let me know that they were able to re-run since I provided the detail, and it went through successfully the second time ($75 cashback and tax-free! Woohoo!).
7/21 – Makisha called me at a time convenient for me and we talked about how to set up the account, the various features provided, and how to enroll in eStatements to avoid a $5 printed statement fee.
—She’s mailing me a welcome package and requesting I scan/email some paperwork upon receipt and then she will mail a debit card.

I’ve churned quite a few accounts this year, but this bank will probably become my primary. No ATM fees (100% reimbursable anywhere within the U.S.); free Pop Money transactions; easy contact with a personal banker; crazy excellent customer service. Forgot what service like this was like…

+7/22 – CC funding posted as purchase/sale.

Will update once account has been active for 30 days, company DD posts (7/31), 10 debit transactions are completed, and lastly once both bonuses post.

Thanks, DofC! This is my favorite post thus far!

$5000 Chase Freedom posted as a purchase. I had set my cash advance limit to $100 just in case. I had tried for a larger amount on my Chase Freedom but Signature Bank denied and required that I re-apply.

Tried Fidelity Visa for $5000 initial deposit and the request came as “cash advance”.
Fortunately my limit was 3500 and US Bank declined it.

Another data point: once a credit card issuer declines the transaction, Signature bank forces you to go through the application process again and cannot use the same card.
