The Offer
Southwest Rapid Rewards is sending out the following email offer:
- When you refer-a-friend to Rapid Rewards shopping you’ll get 500 bonus Southwest points and the new member will get 250 bonus points. The new member needs to do $125 in shopping through the portal to trigger these bonuses.
The Fine Print
- New member must signup through the referral link by July 4, 2017 at 11:59 pm ET
- New member must spend $125 in qualifying purchases through the RR portal within 7 days of signing up
- Qualifying purchases do not include product returns or cancellations, gift card purchases, and certain products identified by the individual merchant; individual merchants may have additional terms and conditions on their store details page, which terms and conditions will apply to this offer
- Bonus Points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass qualification
Our Verdict
If you have friends and family who you are introducing to the miles and points hobby or whose accounts you manage, might as well get 500 + 250 bonus Southwest points with the referral.
There is only an email referral option. The new member will receive the email after a few minutes, and it’ll show your name, email address, and the message you specified. If you send the email to yourself, you’ll have a referral link and that link should work to refer multiple people or to post on your Facebook page, etc. (I sent two referrals to separate email addresses, and both signup links look the same so it should work.)
I’m not sure if you can do this deal if you didn’t get the email, but hopefully everyone got it.
