[Expired] Gyft: $80 eBay Gift Card for $75 (3x), + 5x with INK

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Purchase an $80 eBay gift card for just $75. Use promo code: EBAYWISH at checkout.

This offer can be repeated three times (previously, it was limited to one-time use). If you already used the code once, you’ll be able to use two more, but not three (personal experience).

The Fine Print

  • Expires tonight, December 9 at midnight ET
  • You won’t earn Gyft points on the purchase, but you can use up Gyft points to make the purchase (personal experience)
  • Promo code valid with all payment types

Our Verdict

The discount itself isn’t bad, but what’s even better is that Gyft has been earning 5x with INK when paying via Paypal. Makes it much more interesting for sure.

This was a good way to spend for the current bonus miles promo through the AA & United shopping portals.

If you buy 2+ this should fire off 1% + $5 from ShopatHome….

Forgot to include link: $5 back on $150 – http://www.shopathome.com/cash-back-promotion

Sorry, ignore that. It appears you can only do 1 card at a time? So can’t get $150 in 1 order.. hmm..

Also, doesn’t using a promo code usually prevent you from getting cash back for a Gyft purchase?

T wouldn’t in this case as it’s listed on shopathome as an approved one.

Side note I did one with topcash the other day other 2% CB credited.

i think this is a decent deal with INK… but is someone else worried eBay will stop allowing gift card purchases with their own gift card?
Newegg stopped allowing it today… major bummer.

That sucks. Did you notice this yourself or read it somewhere? I still have my Newegg gc leftover from the recent Groupon deal. I bet that’s the main reason this happened. If Ebay stops allowing it I would be completely screwed as I’ve bought several from Newegg in the past couple of weeks.

it was reported on SD… and I checked myself and yes, it is true, no more buying gift cards in newer with newegg gift cards.

If you mean buying an ebay gift card with another ebay gift card, then no, definitely not worried because it’s terrible value! That’s of course assuming your rolling $5k/180 day limit is important to you. If not, then yeah it would suck for the randoms who are only interested in rolling every ebay gift card they get.

I’m 99% sure that’s not what Lantean meant. We are worried that Ebay will stop letting us buy ANY gc with Ebay gc. It could happen with any store when the abuse gets too high.

It’s only a matter of time before it happens.

Can you apply a Gyft Gift Card and a promo code in the same order?

not a fan of gyft. their deals are always mediocre and they are worse than ebay/paypal for locking you down.

they asked my me to submit all kinds of crazy information – social security number and drivers license – just to purchase from their site. its absurd.

now i would venture to say they are just being cautious, but i cant even offer that as an explanation. i’ve had 3, maybe 4, successful purchases from them in the past few months. they locked my account and made the request that i jump through additional hoops. i told them to pound sand.

I’ve had the same thing happen. However, as you mentioned, I think they’re just being cautious and looking out for frauds/money launderers etc.

Personally I enjoy the site. I essentially make at least 7% profit every time I buy something from eBay using this the 5x I get from this etc. Not sure what you’re expecting from their deals though lol. Maybe they should sell an 80$ gift card for 40$ so they can take a 40$ loss?

I’ve been asked for a driver license, but not SSN. There is no way I use this site if I have to give up my SSN.

Love the site. Have spent about $2700 there since July.

Have found it to be a reliable, painless 5X multiplier. The $5 off 80 ebay GC trend is a positive one they’ll likely continue. I’m a fan.

Months back when I started using Gyft I experienced two freezes and I had to submit documentation twice. I was also frustrated and to the point that I was not using them unless the deal was the best option and I had no alternatives. At this point though I have zero issues or freezes and I’ve put some serious volume through them since then. So hopefully your account will become seasoned and it won’t raise as many security freezes going forward.

Knock on wood but almost $3k in purchases since August and I’ve never been asked to submit any kind of identify verification. 100% of my purchases are made with PayPal, I don’t know if that makes any difference.

Forgot to mention two complaints I have about Gyft though.1. the site is often very slow. and 2. it’s incredibly annoying there is no shopping cart so you can’t purchase more than one gift card at a time! Any time I need eBay gift cards for purchases that don’t fit into the denominations they sell I have to make one purchase and then make a second, third and sometimes fourth depending on how much I need. That is insane.
