Heads Up: YMMV $3 Amazon Credit for Choosing No-Rush Shipping [Prime]

Just a quick heads up that some people began seeing an offer when checking out on Amazon to get a $3 Amazon credit for choosing no-rush shipping.

Typically, they offer a $1-3 digital goods credit or a $5.99 Prime Pantry credit (which basically just offsets the shipping fee; you can only use one of these credits per Prime Pantry order). However, now some people are seeing a generic $3 credit to be used for anything on Amazon.

Credit will be automatically applied at checkout. Credit expires on January 31, 2018.

This offer is obviously excellent for times when you don’t need something quickly, and cheap items can even become free-after-rebate with this deal. It’s certainly YMMV, and most people still see the standard digital/pantry offer.

Just keep this in mind in case you do see it.

Only Prime Pantry credit, for a very small order. Maybe it only works for bigger ones.

I also got the same offer that Gotham indicates for $5 Prime Now credit. The interesting thing about this, is that I got the offer on an $50 Airbnb gift card. That is %10 off.

I’ve only seen this for heavy items, and only once at that… Could be weight though – when it’s much more expensive to ship fast rather than slow, they are willing to give you more credit.

I got an offer for $10 slow shipping credit… but i bought a mattress so I guess it was more related to that.

I have only been getting the prime pantry offer for months! I miss the $1 digital credit – I would take it every time. Pantry credit is a waste since their prices are high.
