Our Verdict
This follows on from the increased sign up bonuses on the other Hilton co-branded credit cards:
- American Express Increases Sign Up Bonus To 80,000 Points On Hilton HHonors Surpass Card
- Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature Card Now 60,000 Point Bonus
The only Hilton card that doesn’t have an increased sign up bonus is the Citi Hilton Reserve (two free nights at any Hilton property) which in my opinion is the only one that is really worth signing up for. All of that being said 60,000 points is the highest sign up point bonus this card has had and there is no annual fee so if you want to top up on Hilton points then this isn’t too bad an option. Although keep in mind they also often offer 50,000 points + $50 statement credit, which I think is a better deal.
I’m giving this card a miss, I feel like Hilton is due for another devaluation to make their points even more worthless. Am I being too harsh? Let me know in the comments. As always this offer has been added to our list of the best hotel credit cards.

My 2 cents, since I know you all want it, is to hop on this for future stays at international destinations. The promo spend is easy, and with Amex Serve switching to only Amex cards this month, I can plop this into my wife’s account and just start accumulating points for our next foreign hotel stay. I recommend putting this in a spouse’s name, or the secondary MS account as I perceive it. Hilton points go a lot further internationally. Plus, she is only holding 2 personal Amex cards and the Costco card is one, so that will probably be out shortly.
The only side that I think you’re being too harsh on is if you don’t care about high cat redemption. I’m someone that goes after the longest stays, so for me I’m mostly after cat 1. With all these Hilton offers, I’m sitting on more than 30 days of cat 1 stays. While I totally understand the value of 2 nights free at any property, a card like that doesn’t really appeal to me.
Yeah, if you can take advantage of category one properties it’s great. I’ve just found less and less places that are category one that I actually want to stay in (especially for any extended period of time). I always try to go for cheap stays, so usually two free nights don’t do much for me but it’s nice to “splurge” every now and then as well.
