The Fine Print

• Offer valid starting June 25th, 2017 and only to first 2,500 Hilton Honors™ members who do not currently receive the Hilton Honors Shop-to-Earn Newsletter, who provide a valid email address and who complete a qualifying purchase of $100 or more on the Hilton Honors Shop-to-Earn Mall.
• Bonus Points are awarded to Hilton Honors member per first completed Shop-to-Earn Mall transaction.
• Eligibility for Bonus Points offer is determined by the following: Member must make the purchase through the Hilton Honors Shop-to-Earn Mall, have no previous shopping history, must complete their first order for a minimum of $100 before shipping and taxes, and provide their Hilton Honors account number when logging in to checkout
• . If this criteria is met, eligible members will receive a bonus of 500 Hilton Honors Bonus points in their member accounts by October 2017.

Our Verdict

This promotion is so stupid. With the amount of restrictions this promotion has you’d expect it to be the most generous thing you’ve ever seen in your life, but Hilton being Hilton offer up a measly 500 points. I’m not sure why but I see this bonus as a personal insult as it ticks nearly all the boxes of ‘things I hate’. A note to people running promotions: don’t have number of participant restrictions unless it’s extremely clear when that limit has been reached and certainly don’t do it when users could get half way to completing their own bonus when that happens.
