Gift cards on offer aren’t that interesting in my opinion.

I passed by one but saw not such deal. Do you have a link? Albertson’s is now part of Safeway so maybe you are describing their $10 off $150 on Visa Gift Cards Just4U deal.

And actually would not be too bad if you got the $500 visa gift cards, with $5.95 fee, and as long as you earned 1.2% cash back you would make $10 each time. Assuming you had a blue cash preferred after the $95 fee and had some spending left to reach your 6k in spend (4.4% back), you’d get $22.26 back plus the $10 hyvee gift card. I am not sure if you can use the hyvee gift card to buy other gift cards? I wouldn’t see why not, but certainly folks that live close enough to a hyvee would be able to use this for gas or groceries. I would not buy any of the non visa/mc gift cards esp if they can be had for a high pct off from giftcardgranny.
And also YMMV with buying gift cards with credit cards…I find its best to use samsung pay that way they arent seeing the card being swyped.
