New 150,000 American Express Business Platinum Offer

Over the last week I’ve received a number of e-mails from readers stating that they have received offers for 150,000 Membership Rewards points on the business version of this card:

  • American Express Business Platinum:
    • Receive 100,000 Membership Rewards points after $5,000 in spending within three months
    • Receive an additional 50,000 Membership Rewards points (150,000 total) after an additional $10,000 in spending ($15,000 total)

This offer is only available until May 8th, 2015. Now in the past it has been possible to call up American Express and state that you lost the offer and ask if they can extend it to you, I had a few people try this on Twitter, but nobody had any success as all the customer service representatives stated that the RSVP code (which is unique) was required.

There have been targeted bonuses of 150,000 Membership Rewards points, but these required spending of $20,000 rather than just $15,000 so this is the best offer I’ve ever seen on this card. I would try to get this bonus myself, but I recently got the 100,000 offer on the same card and I need to wait at least 12 months before I can get it again (this rule applies to American Express business cards, personal cards are once per lifetime).

It’s also possible to view any and all American Express business credit card offers that you have here (links for other card issuers can be found here).

Can I call in with an RSVP code from a friend that’s not gonna use it himself?

We got 2 150k offers, one for each of the businesses we have. BUT one of the businesses we got offer was closed a few months ago. So my question is, can I respond to the offer for the business that was closed? Do they do some kind of screening to make sure business is still open? I can easily meet minimum spend on both.

EIN. This was a retail store which was closed 10 months ago. We got the offer for 150k last year and we didn’t apply and it was also months after closing. They send again this year. May be take a chance and apply. And if it is not approved for the closed business, then just don’t call or anything and forget it? If approved automatically which is cool. I am not sure how are the pre-screening for this offers. Guess they don’t have any on information on whether it is still in business.

I believe you are incorrectly stating that Amex offers require a 1 year waiting period. I read that they recently changed this policy to only allow one sign up bonus per lifetime per product.

The once-in-a lifetime rule applies to personal cards, not business cards (yet).

1 per lifetime is for personal amex cards

Sadly, a check of my business offers online at AmEx just shows 40k.

So we have to call and thats the only way to get this offer? What is the number to call and what is the offer code for this.

What’s the best way to get the offer? Targeted? Call we CS to see if they can extent the offer?

how do you get 2x $200 incidental credits? are you talking about adding an AU for free and extend the same benefits for them?

if so why not add more AUs and profit?

Nice catch, Will! Darn, and I just got the card with a 100k sign-on offer after $10k… may try meeting spend and asking if they can honor the higher option… never hurts to ask.
