- Ritz Carlton Summer Sojourns: Earn double Ritz-Carlton Rewards® points for every stay of two nights or longer at The Ritz-Carlton® hotels and resorts
- SPG Take Three: Triple points on weekends and double points on week days.
The Fine Print
- Must register by August 30th
- For stays between May 27, 2017 and September 4, 2017
Our Verdict
None of these promotions are enough to get me to change or reconsider any existing/future bookings. SPG probably the most attractive and I might think about about SPG properties for weekend stays depending on what else is available but nothing truly exciting here.

If I pay two rooms for 1 night, I will get two nights. Does it qualify for the “two nights” criteria for this promotion?

Nope usually if you pay two rooms for 1 night you get the points for both the nights but only one night as a stay/night count. So I am pretty sure it would not qualify as 2 nights
For SPG, you can get 2 nights 1 stay if you pay two rooms one night.
Is the Marriott Megabonus ever targeted? I’ve tried the link above and receive the following:

I’ve also tried to navigate to promotions from my Marriott Rewards account and don’t see it.
Just wanted to follow-up on myself. I kept trying and kept getting the error message. I eventually called them (and waited on hold for about 10 minutes, as is typically the case with Marriott). Rep told me that the website is having issues and the IT people are working on it – sounded relatively widespread. However, the phone rep can sign you up if you can’t do it yourself.
FYI: It just worked for me 5 minutes ago. Maybe try again?
When I registered for the SPG promotion, I got the following message:
“YOU’RE REGISTERED FOR THE SPG TAKE THREE PROMOTION.
And because you have The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express, you can earn an additional 1,500 Starpoints® per eligible resort stay between 5/27 and 9/4. Terms Apply.”
