This means you’ll be able to meet the minimum requirements without having to wait for all of the information to be sent to you via post.

- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
If you cancel your account within six months of account opening you will forfeit the $150 bonus. There are no monthly fees, you can view the full fee schedule by clicking here.
Our Verdict
They’ve offered a similar bonus before (god this blog as a bit of a mess back then). I think this bonus is worth going after if you live within the target area. The downside is that you can’t fund the account with a credit card and a direct deposit is required, but that seems relatively easy to circumnavigate.
One upside to this bonus is the fact that Huntington bank checking promotions are churnable, meaning you can get them more than once. Off the top of my head Chase is the only other bank that offers this on checking promotions, although I’m sure other companies do as well.
Because of the area restrictions it has not be added to our list of the best bank bonuses found here, but we will add it to our master list of bonuses which can be found by clicking here. What do you think of this promotion? Will you sign up for it? Let us know in the comments section below.

So uh, I just received a notice saying that I have to go directly to their bank to get in person ID verified. Anyone know why? Should I submit another application? I’m not sure if it’s because I put I was a business owner, or if because I tried to sign up for their premier savings account too…
This promotion has been extended to 7/15/15.
Huntington bank offer is now extended to March 15, 2015
Thanks, Bryan. Updated this post.
