Note: I received a card with the details of the $200 bonus when I opened my account in-person. The requirements include a minimum of $500 in direct deposit by June 30th. This detail previously was included above in the write-up, but now reads “no minimum specified.” The hand-written note I made when I first read this listing also has the $500 direct deposit requirement. Why was this changed ?

I’m trying to remember the order of how things went. I now recall that I opened the account in-person in response to the brightly lit “$200 Bonus” sign out in front of the bank getting my attention. I then reported the details of the offer to DoC, who combined my info with a submission from another person. Looks like the detail of the $500 minimum direct deposit did not make it into the article.

Does anyone have any DP’s on this yet?

Note: The banks are in the Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas.

They don’t appear to be inquiry sensitive for Chex (10+ inquiries). S&T bank denied my online application since more than 50 miles away, but when I applied through Integrity in person (which is part of S&T) they approved. If you have a plausible reason and all your paperwork with you, it’s worth trying.

They have the $200 advertised on the web, in branch on flyers, and blinking away on their sign near the street.

If you’ve done it already, what did you use for DD? Feel like I’m spending all my weekends driving to banks in PA but can’t complain.

I used my tax refund, since I didn’t have any data points 🙁 .

I hear you about driving for bank bonuses. Used my split tax refund (8888 form) to do the DD, so no data points to add.

I always check DOC for banks near a trip / visit I’m making. In person, I bring my ID, checkbook, prior tax form, paystub, etc. and haven’t been denied yet for too far away – as long as I applied in person. I opened an account in Alaska once a few years ago. They made an exception to closing it in person…

Can out of state residents open in branch? And does anyone know if they’re inquiry sensitive?
