Our Verdict
This offer has been available to Marriott elites for some time, but this is a public offer available for everybody. There are also two other Marriott offers that might be worth considering:
- $100 Statement Credit + 40,000 Points After First Purchase (publicly available)
- $150 + 40,000 Point Sign Up Bonus (Marriott elites)
Obviously which offer is the best will be dependent on how much you value Marriott points at. Personally I’m giving this offer a miss, I already have more than enough Marriott points after the Chase Ritz Carlton 140,000 point offer (which has now ended) and I’d like to save my application for other credit cards that Chase offers.
If you’re thinking about doing this deal, there is no rush. This deal comes around very frequently, probably four times a year at least and is almost always available in some way. Chase has also recently offered the following two increased sign up bonuses:
- Chase Amtrak card: 18,000 points (up from 12,000)
- Chase Ink Plus: 60,000 points (up from 50,000 points)
Useful Chase Posts:Â
- Chase cards are churnable every 24 months
- Chase will match sign up bonuses if you’ve applied for an inferior offer in the last 90 days
- Chase offers expedited shipping for free
- Chase will combine multiple inquiries
- Check to see if you have a higher pre-approved bonus from Chase first (incredibly doubtful for this offer)
- Asking for a credit limit increase with Chase will result in a hard pull
- It is possible to reallocate your credit limits without a hard pull with Chase
