- Baby on board: Woman gives birth on plane, newborn gets free tickets for a lifetime by Times Of India. Don’t try this one at home (well, on a plane at least).
- PMorgan Chase Signs Phillips 66 to Accept Chase Pay by Business Wire. Bring on the Chase Pay promotions already.
- Not a typo: $5,000 bonus for new LA Lyft drivers by Easy Journeys. Massive bonus, but requires 1,000 rides in 90 days so you’d need to go full time. Basically an extra $5 a ride if you can hit that 1,000 ride threshold.
- Uber’s First Self-Driving Fleet Arrives in Pittsburgh This Month by Bloomberg. These aren’t driverless cars as there is still human ‘supervisor’ in the drivers seat. This is obviously where the market will shift to. Uber has 1 million+ drivers that they would like to replace sooner rather than later. Although when full automation comes into place, does Uber become less compelling? If I’m drinking I could just get my car to drive there and back. If car parks are an issue, the car can simply park itself somewhere else and come back when I actually need it.
- Synchrony Amazon Store Card now comes with a free FICO score. Not that useful anymore as it’s so easy to get for free.
- Targeted Plenti/Rite Aid/Best Buy Offer. Basically $8 back in Plenti points, not bad. Thanks to @Roar_Sing
