Short version: Good for you Lee that Kimpton has apparently treated you so well, as you are already an “inner circle” Karma member. But for anyone on the outside, you’ve not as yet shown us a convincing, clear path on how to join you on the inside, other than on a lot of “faith” in the very uncertain future for the brand.

Lee, since you’re chiming in here to endorse your own (over-the-top) promotion of Kimpton,.. I’m always glad to learn from new voices about programs largely under the radar….. In scanning your posts about the Kimpton Karma, in the back of my mind, immediate reservation (pun intended) is that you’re asking us to jump on board (and invest much) in a hotel brand with a rewards program already deeply beclouded, owing to its takeover by IHG….. (as you so gently mention along the way) Am seeing reports elsewhere that IHG only promised to keep Karma intact through end of this year….. Any updates on that?

But you seem to be telling us, don’t worry, be happy……. stay, stay, stay at full price, “enjoy the journey” (where have we heard that sales pitch before?)…. and in time, you too will be rewarded. Sounds like we must stay ten nights at full price, to get two free…. (maybe three — if we stay another ten?)

Ah, but then there’s this intriguing “inner circle” to “Karma,” and by golly, you mention a potential status match short-cut, via Hilton Diamond — which I have — but then you (vaguely) note that even there too, you apparently have to stay, stay, stay, even if they give it to you….. and then you might get this “inner circle” membership…. (and access to the free nights at new, er, newly opened “historic” urban properties….)

Yet as you note, the status match program may well have ended — back at the beginning of this year?
But then you tell us, go ahead, try, it doesn’t hurt…. !!??

Wait a sec. You’re the one getting compensated for referral links to Kimpton! How about doing the right thing here and asking your handlers before shoveling such an extraordinarily vague post about a program very much in doubt….

Kimpton has one of the best loyalty programs. If you book when they’re offering 2x stay credits, you can earn top-tier status with only 7 stays! I wish they had more locations, but that is being worked on now that IHG bought them.
