- [New] AA Miles Award Chart by Travel is Free. So much easier to read. Wish drew would post more often.
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Encourages Retail Credit Card Companies to Consider More Transparent Promotions by CFPB. I really hate how zero interest APR offers come with these retroactive interest charges, so glad to see CFPB taking action on this.
- David Bonderman Resigns From Uber Board After Sexist Remark by New York Times. Oh Uber, your continued **** ups never cease to amaze me. I got a feeling Uber is going to be worse than the taxi situation we were previously in.
- How To Get A 100,000 Point Offer For The AmEx Platinum Business Card by Doctor of Credit. Had quite a few successful reports of this tactic still working.
was able to call in to amex and get the 100k for 10k offer, although the way they worded it sounded like the offer was already on my account, rather than a courtesy offer. Currently hold spg biz, spg personal, and bgr with amex.
Lyft is a smaller company and I agree that the Lyft coverage is much less. Lyft and Uber pricing are very similar in the same markets.
Would you agree?
After Uber used predatory dirty tricks against Lyft, I really did not want to use Uber anymore, but I did not had much of a choice in many situations. It was Yellow Cab or Uber. Sometimes it comes down to Yellow Cab price gauging (2-3 times Uber pricing) or Uber.
We still have Lyft as a good alternative that is scandal-free. Lyft has caused Uber to lower its pricing in many areas.
Problem with Lyft is that the footprint is much lower, I have switched to using it where possible though (and other location specific alternatives).
i thought this was a family friendly blog. “F**k ups”?
I don’t think this blog is for children… I appreciate the candor.
Honestly I don’t know how they could be called anything less than eff ups either, it seemed like they had the market cornered in a lot of regions and just kept shooting themselves in the feet
ah yes, the good ol’ family past-time of credit card churning goes back many generations back to the old country.
I wouldn’t expect anybody under the age of 18 to realistically be reading this site. I’ve censored it since it doesn’t really matter that much anyway.
Any updates/word on how to still get the Ink Preferred 100k bonus. Was approved at the lower 80k bonus about 2 weeks ago. Felt comfortable based on reading others’ posts and from my own past experience with Chase. Have sent a few very polite SMs but have been completely stonewalled to date.
Try calling/ From what I’ve read that is dead now though 🙁
