- That Solo Travel Blogger? She Just Wants a Vacation by NY Times. Some people ask why I never post trip reports or reviews and this is part of the reason (the main part is just because I really hate doing it). I’ll be taking three weeks vacation starting this coming weekend, I’ll probably still be blogging here and there but expect less than normal.

- A 750-Year-Old Secret: See How Soy Sauce Is Still Made Today | Short Film Showcase by National Geographic. This made me want to try some really high quality soy sauces, I’ve done that before with olive oil but never really thought to do it with soy sauce.
that first article is very interesting…while most knew that travel blogging has become more commercialized than ever before requiring commitments much like a regular job and that a lot of travel bloggers push the same product (card, hotel, airline etc) while recyling through the same content as others, I didn’t expect the travelers themselves to find their job tedious or monotonous.
