The Fine Print

  • Only available to T-Mobile customers, you must provide your T-Mobile wireless number
  • These are limited time offers and while supplies last (I’m not sure how you have a supply of electronic cash offers and there is no mention on what the total supply is)
  • Direct deposits must be in the cardholders name
  • Tax refund and paypal check are not eligible for this offer

Fees

The fees listed are for T-Mobile customers only. This is because you must be a t-mobile customer to be eligible for this promotion, there is a different fee schedule for non t-mobile customers which can be found here.

  • $0 Withdrawal fees at in-network ATMs*
  • $0 Monthly maintenance fees*
  • $0 Reload fees in T-Mobile stores*
  • $0 Retail purchase fees

Our Verdict

If you have access to reloadits that can be purchased by credit card, then t-mobile money is also an incredibly easy way to manufacture credit card spend without fees (reload fee is reimbursed to your account), more information here.

The fine print on this offer is a bit concerning, as there is no guarantee that you’ll actually receive the bonus. I hate vague fine print like this, so tread with caution. That said it should be pretty easy to complete the requirements (I’d think that an ACH transfer would trigger the direct deposit requirement, although the fact that PayPal is specifically excluded does give me some worry).

I personally can’t sign up for this offer as I already have a T-Mobile prepaid visa for MS purposes. If you do sign up for this offer, let us know what triggers the direct deposit requirement so we can update this page.

Do you know what qualifies as a direct deposit? Any data points?

Just to clarify points $0 Reload fees in T-Mobile stores* and $0 Retail purchase fees.

If you are charged a fee to buy the card, once you register the card and activate it, you’ll be reimbursed the purchase fee. If you purchase a Reloadit from anywhere other than a T-Mobile store you WILL be charged the $3.95 and you will not be reimbursed for that fee UNLESS the Reloadit is for $300 or more. Confirmed this all on a phone call with a rep.

§$0 in T-Mobile stores. Fees apply at other retailers. Refunded when reloading $300 or more. Loads from Reloadit “Safe” not eligible for refund. – Taken from t-mobilemoneyservices[dot]com

What’s your strategy for MSing with T-Mobile? I’ve heard of people getting shut down.
