Ritz-Carlton To Enter The Cruise/Luxury Yacht Industry With The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

Ritz-Carlton has announced that they plan to into the luxury yachting and cruises market. They have plans for three lavish yachts, the first will is scheduled to hit seats in the fourth quarter of 2019. This yacht will have voyages will range from seven to ten days taking in the following areas based on seasonality:

  • Mediterranean
  • Northern Europe
  • Caribbean
  • Latin America

The first yacht will be able to accommodate 298 passengers in 149 suites all with their own private balcony. Reservations will start in May 2018.

Our Verdict

I’m personally not a fan of cruises but each to their own. I’m sure that these cruises will be amazing and opulent with prices to match. It’ll be interesting to see if they can be booked with points and if so how much they’ll cost. Would you go on one of these cruises? If so, what is an attractive price point for you?

cool. but this doesnt mean anything until we see their execution. its all about how the program is implemented, executed and how much better it is vs the competition.

plenty of cruises out there that are already lavish. you should check out Regent Seven Seas Explorer. its ridiculous. RC is not the first. also many others are pretty cool too. you just have to be that type of person.

btw. Regent Seven Seas Explorer is full of 60+ year olds all retired early. amazing people to network with.

Yup, but you get tossed overboard after your 3rd night.
