Our Verdict
If you have means to unload a Mastercard gift card, your best bet is to buy a $500 card so as to rack up added credit card spend at the grocery. Otherwise, put $150 on it and profit $9 after accounting for the $6 fee.
Bear in mind, not all Safeway stores allow the use of a credit card to purchase a Mastercard gift card.

Don’t know about the app. As long as the phone number you use in store matches exactly to the one you created on site and you see the M/C offer on your offer page, you should be good. If the discount doesn’t take, then it will be a terminal issue and just showing your app probably wouldn’t help. I wouldn’t worry.
Yesterday, got 3. These were variables at $500 each. Wife did one on her own time. I did two. Asked for two separate transactions then I put in two different numbers. Both went through no problem. The manager at this Vons is cool with credit cards but there are 2 other Vons in my area who make it an issue depending on the clerk (no consistent policy) and one other store who adamantly refuses to allow credit cards for gift card purchases. Congrats to the guy up top who says he buys gift cards with gift cards. Finding a clerk/terminal who allows that is rare.
The reason why the discount did not work was probably that the clerk did not press ‘total’ to apply the offer….
Does anyone know how to find this coupon in the Safeway app? I found and added it online but want it in the app to show the cashier if the discount didn’t take.

It’s possible with Serve now but depends on the clerk at the RA whether they know how or allow. I load at WM but was planning on trying at RA for kicks.
You can use these MasterCard giftcards whenever there is visa gift card promotions in Safeway,OfficeMax, you can pay with multiple MasterCard giftcards to get pin based metabank visa gift cards which can be easily ”eaten’ by serve@walmart,family dollar…

Many times variables are excluded. I don’t see it the terms but in the store they may state additional terms. Double check at the gift card stand.
i successfully loaded 35 offers into my virtual safeway account, and I have redeemed 5 offers today, they carried $100 and $20-$500 variable load, so I chose the 20-500 and loaded $150 to get the $15 off, the purchase fee was $5.95. in the end, I obtained a profit of $10 per offer. The good thing is that you can use the mastercard gift card to purchase master card gift card, so this is a loop….you know what i mean

Right. 35 M/C offers to a “virtual” account? What did he do, hack into the system? Unless his other 34 offers are comprised of butter and salad dressing coupons.
not a virtual account, but 35 different accounts, you can register as many accounts as you wish to with fake phone numbers and emails, when you checkout at Safeway, just type the phone number to checkout and redeemed the offer.
I know people created hundreds of accounts online with fake phone numbers and emails just to take advantage of offers like this. While it is profitable to do this by checking out from multiple stores,multiple lanes,multiple times, you can not self checkout….
