The Santander Extra20 account offers a $20 bonus per month when doing some direct deposit and bill pay requirements. Last week we reported that it will be ending in June for existing cardholders. Readers let us know that the actually end-date can vary, and some people will be able to keep the $20 bonus for an extra few months.
As explained on Reddit, the bonus will remain for at least one year for each account holder, so those who jumped on this recently will be able to continue getting the bonus for longer. This is good news since it means that everyone should be able to get at least $240 from the deal, making the account worthwhile.
Also, with regards to the promotional 1% savings account bonus (mentioned in the previous post), those who have longer on the Extra20 deal will get the 1% promotional rate for around 6 months after their $20 bonus expires.
We’re Back
We took last week off so there wasn’t any action on the blog recently. For a more humorous explanation, check out some conspiracy theories in this blog comment 🙂 .
The good news is that we should be back to regular posting this week. Hopefully, readers found some other great blogs over the course of the week.
We’ll be posting some of the older news over the course of the next few days too, so bear with us as we catch up and discuss some things that may have been covered on other blogs for a few days already.
