Super weird that some of them do and others don’t.
It looks like this discount is on offer at Star Market as well. They’re owned by the same company and are pretty much interchangeable, so it makes sense. I have no idea if Star Market allows you to buy VGC with credit.

My understanding is that Shaw’s doesn’t take CCs for ANY gift cards, at least that has been my experience here in MA.
I was able to use my Everyday to buy a $200 at Shaws in SE Mass today. I guess whether or not they will let you use CC is highly YMMV. Where have you been rejected trying to buy a GC with credit?
